The Kraken is the violent lower atmosphere analogue to the [[Sky Whale]]. These viscous beasts easily tear through skyships, exposing the player to poisonous gas from the lower atmosphere and causing severe damage. Their hard shell deflects most projectiles, making head on assault with turrets and conventional weaponry difficult. Though tamable, the player will find this beast particularly challenging to navigate with, due to their unique method of locomotion; however, these can be powerful tools against enemy ships, as well as fast and efficient mining animals.
